mussels in cast iron pot

Cape Cod Bay Mussels Recipe

As a boy in New England I would often play in the tide pools of Cape Cod Bay. With dive mask and a steak knife I slyly removed from my Grandmothers kitchen I would make my way down to the beach.  Past the dunes of white sand I would find myself at my favorite tide pools. Large glacial rocks from a distant past surrounded by sandbars would hold my favorite Summer catch, the briny mollusk we know as mussels.  Diving down I would pry the tasty creatures from their rocky berths and slide them into my net.  Once the small net was full I would make my way back to the house to have treat my hard work with the delish recipe I use most to enjoy mussels.
